Daniel Martinez, facilitator: To me, a Patro is:

Mélanie Harvey, former facilitator: A community centre that hosts activities.

Pascal Brulotte, Patro de Lévis General Manager: A place where good people come together.

Mélanie Harvey: Patros taught me about fundamental values, like respect.

Daniel Martinez: Communicating, meeting people, having fun.

Pascal Brulotte: Social status, skin colour, beliefs—none of it matters, everyone is welcome here.

Mélanie Marceau, beneficiary: I made a lot of friends, and I love making new friends.

Daniel Martinez: Patros are like schools where you learn to have fun.

Mélanie Marceau: Dodgeball, hockey, bowling.

Mélanie Harvey: I sing in a band. We're 6 former members of the Patro [sings].

Rénald Maheux, volunteer: We're retired, so we have time to give back.

Pascal Brulotte: [Laughs]

Mélanie Harvey: My history with the Patro certainly influenced my decision to become a community organizer.

Rénald Maheux: The Patro has done so much for me. Now it's my turn to give back.
