FAQ

Why does the information in my report differ from one credit bureau to another?

Your reports may appear different for a number of reasons, including:

  • TransUnion and Equifax reports on AccèsD aren't updated at the same time.
  • Lenders don't always share your information with both credit bureaus.
  • Lenders may have shared your information with credit bureaus at different points in time.
Why do the credit bureaus show different scores?

Credit bureaus calculate your credit score using their own mathematical formulas, along with information they receive from lenders. Because TransUnion and Equifax aren't using the same formulas, it makes sense the scores are different.

How often is my credit report updated?

TransUnion and Equifax update their reports daily on AccèsD.

Why is it important to correct inaccuracies on my credit report?

Before approving you for a loan or credit card, financial institutions generally check your credit report to analyze how you use credit. If the information on your report is inaccurate or incomplete, they may turn down your application—or even charge you too high an interest rate.
